A Virginia company that sells medical equipment and provides online health news, MillenniumHealth Communications Inc., said Friday it has offered to merge with ailing drkoop.com Inc. Details of the offer were not disclosed.

Palm Inc. next month plans to release a new, lower-priced model of its popular hand-held electronic organizers. The company declined comment on reports that it plans to introduce an entry-level model priced at $149 in five different colors with 4 megabytes of memory.
