Prostitution Sting Yields 14 Arrests

Spokane police arrested 14 men in a prostitution sting Friday on East Sprague, police said.

Female police officers posed as decoys at Sprague and Hogan, an area where merchants have complained about an increase in street prostitution, police said.

The operation began just after 9 a.m., and officers had their first arrest 15 minutes later.

The men were cited and released for soliciting a prostitute, a misdemeanor.
