A staff member at the West Valley City School has been honored as one of the top school employees in the state.
Marcy Hoggatt is a teacher’s aide who also teaches various programs at the middle school. She earned the Washington Award for Excellence in Education, which includes a $2,000 prize.
“There are so many things about Marcy,” said Larry Bush, City School principal. “She connects with kids so well, it’s amazing. All types of kids.”
