Theater, Music Camps Offered

Spokane Civic Theatre is again offering its popular Performing Arts Day Camp, with sessions for both musical and nonmusical theater. Camp No. 1, for grades 6-8, runs June 17-30. Camp No. 2, for grades 7-12, runs July 10-21. Camp No. 3, for grades 9-12, runs July 26-Aug. 11. For more information, call 327-5942 or 456-2561.

Meanwhile, Holy Names Music Center is offering three music camps tailored to age and playing level. They include the piano day camp “Go For Baroque,” for grades 3-12, June 19-23; “Chamber Music Week” for students of strings, wind instruments and piano, June 26-30; and “Choral Camp” for young singers ages 7-12, Aug. 21-25. Classes

Bloomers Junction is offering a “Living Wreath” class Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at 6005 N. Idaho Road, Post Falls. Learn how to make a living wreath that reflects the changing seasons. Pullman Parks and Recreation is offering a free seminar on faux painting Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Pullman City Hall. Works in 2-D, 3-D sought

The 2000 Betty Bowen Memorial Award, administered by the Seattle Art Museum, is open to artists in 2-D and 3-D media who live in Washington, Oregon and Idaho.
