Part 1

The Battle of the Bands contest returns to Riverfront Park this month with 12 bands competing to be Spokane’s top teenage garage band.

BOBFest is June 17 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The teenage art show, Images: Expressions of Spokane, will be on display during the contest.

We’re profiling six of the rivaling bands this week. We’ll profile six more next week, along with a story about last year’s winning band, Somette, which headlines the contest.

And now, without further adieu, profiles of the first six BOBFest competitors.
