Two Killed In U.S. 195 Crash

Two people were killed late Saturday night in a head-on collision on U.S. Highway 195 south of Spokane.

The driver of one car, Robyne Brueggeman, 28, of Rosalia, Wash., and a passenger in the second car, Donna Deford, 67, of Fairfield, died at the scene.

Robert Deford, 70, also of Fairfield, was airlifted to Deaconess Medical Center where he was in satisfactory condition late Sunday.

According to the Washington State Patrol, Brueggeman’s car was traveling south in the northbound lane of U.S. 195 when it collided with the Defords car, which was going north.

The accident occurred about 19 miles south of Spokane.
