Ben Sorcinelli had two hits, scored three runs and stole two bases to spark the Blue Devils to a 7-5 victory over the Cannons in Senior American Legion league action on Monday at Shadle Park High School.

Steve Hare scattered four hits and allowed just one earned run while striking out eight batters before leaving in the sixth inning to pick up his first win of the season for the Blue Devils.

The Blue Devils scored in each of the first four innings and took a 7-2 lead into the seventh inning before the Cannons rallied for three runs to make things interesting.

George Bell singled twice and drove in two runs for the Blue Devils (2-0).

Matt Risley had two doubles and two RBIs to pace the Cannons (0-1).

Ten players in the game had two hits.
