Usfs Hearings Begin On Roadless Plan
President Clinton has proposed permanently barring road construction and other development in about 43 million acres of federal forests, mostly in the West.
The U.S. Forest Service will host public hearings on the subject today and next week. The schedule is:
Today from 2 to 10 p.m. at Spokane City Council Chambers, 808 W. Spokane Falls Blvd.
Tuesday, June 19, at Colville Community College, 985 S. Elm, from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Wednesday, June 21, at Idaho Panhandle National Forest headquarters, 3815 Schreiber Way in Coeur d’Alene, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
