Gorton Will Speak About Tort Reform

From Staff

Sen. Slade Gorton will be the guest of honor at a reception hosted by the Washington Citizens for a Sound Economy in Spokane tonight.

Open to the public, the reception will be at Cavanaughs Inn at the Park, in the Riverfront Ballroom. The free event starts at 9 p.m. and runs until midnight.

Gorton, R-Wash., will speak about ending lawsuit abuse and curbing the power of trial lawyers. As the chief sponsor of the Product Liability Bill of 1995, Gorton worked to bring about fairness and predictability in product liability litigation, according to the Washington Citizens for a Sound Economy.
