Council To Discuss Streets, Garage
The Spokane City Council will hold a town hall forum when it meets tonight.
The 3:30 p.m. briefing will take place in the council chambers at City Hall, but the 6 p.m. session will be held at the West Central Community Center, 1603 N. Belt.
Both sessions will be shown live on CityCable 5.
At the town hall forum, the council will hear reports from neighborhood councils. It will also continue its hearing on a proposed $40 million bond issue to repair streets and vote on setting a hearing over a ballot initiative to fluoridate the city’s drinking water.
Also today, the council will meet in executive session to discuss the River Park Square garage litigation and its impacts on the city’s bond rating, which recently was downgraded. The executive session, which is closed to the public, will continue Tuesday from 2:30 until 5:30 p.m.
