Hoopfest Means Changes For Buses
Bus riders should be aware of a few changes during Hoopfest weekend.
Until Sunday at 7:20 p.m., Spokane Transit Authority buses will board at Second and Third Avenues between Wall and Stevens.
Buses will run at regularly scheduled times.
The east-west shuttle will run only westbound through downtown. Due to street closures, there will be no eastbound service on the shuttle.
Also during Hoopfest weekend, the Plaza-Arena Shuttle will run every 30 minutes for 25 cents.
Today the shuttle will run from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday service will run from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Shuttle boarding at the Arena will still be on Boone Avenue across from KXLY studios. Downtown shuttle boarding will be at all regular blue bus stop signs along the route and the STA Plaza on Sprague Avenue in zone 6.
STA will serve the Jefferson Park and Ride lot at Fourth and Jefferson under the Interstate 90 freeway. Parking is free in the Jefferson lot.
