Bill and Pat (Heintz) DeVries will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a gathering at the Shilo Inn in Spokane today.

Hosts for the event are their children and spouses: Mike and Becky DeVries, Pat and Susan DeVries, Kathy and Monty Nooner, Kris DeVries, Kim and Dennis Walter, and Karyl and Pat Christensen, all of Spokane; and Karen Rynning, Renton, Wash.

The DeVries were married June 24, 1950, in Trentwood. They have nine grandchildren.
