Convicted Stalker Sentenced To 7 Years
A man who harassed a high school classmate’s family and set fire to their house and car has been sentenced to more than seven years in prison.
Ahmad Chris Jackson, 18, of Kent, held a grudge against Alex Strothers, King County Deputy Prosecutor Randi Austell said. Jackson made harassing phone calls to the Strothers family, sent annoying letters, set fire to their car twice and their house once and spray-painted insults about Strothers on a wall of Thomas Jefferson High School.
“This was not your typical stalking case,” Austell said. “This was extremely dangerous and frightening to this family.”
Superior Court Judge Nicole MacInnes gave Jackson the maximum sentence on Friday of seven years, five months.
Jackson was convicted of first-degree arson, second-degree arson, stalking and malicious mischief by a jury three months ago.
