Freeway Plans Topic Of Thursday Hearing
The latest plans for a north Spokane freeway will be the topic of a public hearing Thursday at the Ag Trade Center.
The state Department of Transportation will present its recommendations for the freeway route and preliminary design north of the Spokane River.
The hearing begins at 10 a.m. Members of the public may review the freeway proposal and submit comments during the hearing, or in writing within 10 days after the hearing.
A formal hearing on the limited-access aspect of the project will start at 3 p.m.
DOT plans to buy land and initiate construction on the first leg of the project from U.S. Highway 2 to Hawthorne Road with money from a $22 million allocation by the Legislature.
