Jessie Coburn Spokane
Visitation for Jessie E. Coburn, 98, will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South. Service is planned for 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
Born in Davenport, Wash., Mrs.
Coburn died Sunday.
She graduated from Davenport High School and in 1918 moved to Spokane.
Before marrying Julius Coburn in 1924, she worked for the Paul Sanders Co. in Spokane. Mrs. Coburn also was a homemaker.
Her husband died in 1992.
She is survived by two sons, Don Coburn of Spokane and David Coburn of Mead; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Karen Streeter Post Falls
Memorial service for Karen K. Streeter, a former Post Falls City Council member, will be today at 3 p.m. at Boswell Hall Auditorium at North Idaho College. English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Streeter, who was born in Parshall, N.D., died Sunday. She was 56.
She grew up in Kootenai County and married Charlie Streeter in 1961. The couple lived in Post Falls and operated Post Falls Plumbing.
Mrs. Streeter was also a homemaker and worked in the Post Falls School District hot lunch program before beginning a career at North Idaho College. She was the secretary for the dean of instruction and the president. She then served as the registrar at the college from 1982 to 1999 and was honored as the 1997 NIC Employee of the Year.
She served on the Post Falls City Council from 1982 to 1999 and was involved with Post Falls urban renewal projects, planning and zoning, the library board and Software Research Northwest.
Mrs. Streeter was a member of the Women’s Forum and was a past worthy matron of the Rathdrum Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Butch Streeter of Post Falls; a daughter, Charlayne Streeter of Post Falls; five brothers, Sonny Storlie of Smelterville, Idaho, Bill Storlie of Moses Lake, Toby Storlie of Priest River, Idaho, Bert Storlie of Coeur d’Alene and Tony Storlie of Post Falls; and three sisters, Ellen Gutowsky of Las Vegas, and Sue Dennis and Gwen McDonald, both of Coeur d’Alene.

Ethyl (Sullivan) Hill Veradale
No service will be held for Ethyl Honore (Sullivan) Hill, 93, at her request. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hill, who was born in Baker, Ore., died Saturday.
She married George Hill in 1927, and in 1944 they moved to Veradale.
Mrs. Hill was a floral arranger for Appleway Florist and Greenhouse. She retired in 1976.
Her husband died in 1965.
Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Merrill, Marilyn Feather and Sharon Horton, all of the Spokane Valley; a brother, Alden Sullivan; a sister, Katheryn Braswell; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Ray Cox Spokane
Service for Ray S. Cox, 90, is planned for 2 p.m. Saturday at Heritage Funeral Home. Private burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Rockford.
A 60-year Spokane resident, Mr. Cox died Friday. He was born in Four Lakes.
He graduated from Cheney High School in 1929.
Mr. Cox was an auditor, driver and charter manager for the Greyhound Corp. for 43 years. He retired in 1973.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge and was a member and past president of the Lakeland Village Association.
His wife, Edna, died in 1995.
Survivors include two sons, Darrell Cox of Medical Lake and David Cox of Hayward Hills, Calif.; a sister, Laveryne Dubee of Spokane; and three grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lakeland Village Association or Fairview Cemetery.
Judith Johnson Spokane
Visitation for Judith M. Johnson, 54, will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Friday at Heritage Funeral Home. Memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Faith Bible Church. Private burial will precede at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
Mrs. Johnson died Friday. She was born in Seattle and raised in Spokane.
She graduated in 1963 from Rogers High School.
She married Kenneth Johnson in 1964. They lived in Livermore, Calif., and Tacoma before returning to Spokane in 1990.
Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and a member of Faith Bible Church.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Alisa Caprone of Spokane and Amy Turner of Federal Way, Wash.; her parents, Clayton and Anna Marie Ludwig; and two granddaughters.

Cecilia (Jones) Spencer Spokane
Visitation for Cecilia (Jones) Spencer, 93, will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at Thornhill Valley Funeral Home. Service is planned for 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Private graveside service will be at Pines Cemetery.
A 26-year Spokane resident, Mrs. Spencer died Sunday. She was born in Concordia, Kan.
She worked as a beautician and a legal secretary in Hastings, Neb., and then as a office manager for Greeley (Colo.) Maytag.
Mrs. Spencer was a member of Opportunity Christian Church and had served as president of the Credit Women’s Association.
Her husband, Vernon “Spence”, died in 1978.
Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Mason and Karen Rogers; six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Lee Russell Coeur d’Alene
Funeral Mass for Lee W. Russell, 83, will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church in Coeur d’Alene. English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Russell, who was born in Willow Lake, S.D., died Monday.
He grew up and received an education in South Dakota and Redmond, Ore., and moved to Deer Park in 1935.
In 1937 he married Mary Carlson. They lived in Burke, Idaho, Spokane and Pullman before settling in Coeur d’Alene in 1945.
He was a foreman for Washington Water Power until retiring in 1979.
He was a commander of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, was a member of the Coeur d’Alene Eagles Lodge and was an outdoor sportsman and traveler.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, John and James Russell, both of Oregon; two daughters, Sharon Wilson of Columbia Falls, Mont., and Ja-Nee Newby of Coeur d’Alene; a brother, Leonard Russell of San Luis Obispo, Calif.; three sisters, Ramona Cline of Deer Park, Florence Dilling of Chattaroy and Dorothy Hill of California; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Ila Lilienthal Spokane

Born in Cheyenne, Wyo., Mrs. Lilienthal died Thursday.
She was a 79-year Spokane resident and a homemaker.
Her husband preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Lana Rhodes of Spokane and Valerie Williams of Port Orchard, Wash.; two sisters, Marge Rasmussen and Ruth Hetherington, both of Spokane; a brother, Gary Hetherington of Portland; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Patricia Clyburn Spokane
Memorial service for Patricia Ann Clyburn, 63, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Clyburn died Monday.
She was a lifetime Spokane resident and a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, James; two sons, Dennis Goodman and William Hames, both of Spokane; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Donald Sutton Spokane
Service for Donald J. Sutton, 76, is planned for 1:30 p.m. Friday at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
A lifetime Spokane resident, Mr. Sutton died Sunday.
He was a conductor for the railroad in Spokane.
Mr. Sutton was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church, the Elks Lodge and the United Transportation Union.
His wife, Neoma, died in 1994.
Survivors include four sons, Mark, Michael and David Sutton, all of Spokane, and Don Sutton Jr. of Hayden Lake, Idaho; two daughters, Patricia Martell of Renton, Wash., and Joan Sullivan of Port Angeles, Wash.; a brother, Ellsworth Sutton of Yakima; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Kathleen Somerville Spokane
Memorial service for Kathleen A. Somerville, 84, will be at 2 p.m. March 8 at Sunset Chapel at Fairmount Memorial Park. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Uniontown, Wash., Mrs. Somerville died Sunday.
In 1931 she graduated from North Central High School.
Mrs. Somerville received a teaching certificate from Cheney Normal School and received a lifetime teaching certificate in Bellingham.
She taught elementary grades at Wildrose Prairie School.
In 1936 she married Wayne Somerville and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Somerville was a member of the Daughters of the Nile and worked with the Audubon Society.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Joan Hutchins and Sandra Uttke, both of Spokane, and Bonnie Cuzzetto of Colbert; a brother, John Sullivan of Spokane; a sister, Rosemary Armenia of Spokane; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
Bertha (Vine) Miller Spokane
No service will be held for Bertha I. (Vine) Miller, 91, at her request. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A 55-year Spokane resident, Mrs. Miller died Saturday. She was born in Greenwood, Wis.
Her family moved to Montana in 1910 and then to Elk River, Idaho, in 1919. She graduated from high school in 1928.
Mrs. Miller worked part time as a telephone operator.
In 1930 she married Emerson Carman. They later divorced.
She later married Charles Miller.
Mrs. Miller was a homemaker and taught ceramics from her home.
Her husband died in 1981.
Survivors include five nieces and a nephew.
Kenny Haight Spokane
No service will be held for Kenny Neal Robert Haight, 41. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Haight, a lifetime Spokane resident, died Feb. 21.
Survivors include a son, Justin Johnson of Spokane; his mother, Bettina Stacey of Seattle; two brothers, KC and Pat Haight, both of Spokane; a half-brother, Donnie Droll of Florida; and two sisters, Karla Friend of Seattle and Kristi White of Iowa.
Gladys Stray Spokane
Private memorial service will be held at a later date for Gladys D. Stray, 87. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born in North Dakota, Mrs. Stray died Feb. 19.
A 40-year Spokane resident, she was a homemaker and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
Her husband, Clarence, preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sisters, Jeanette Molzhon and Annabelle Hovland, both of Kent, Wash.
Harriet Summer Spokane

A lifetime Spokane resident, Mrs. Summer died Monday.
She and her husband, William, owned and operated the Cozy Inn Tavern on Second Avenue from 1948 to 1968.
Her husband preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Summer of Spokane and James Summer of Tempe, Ariz.; and two grandchildren.
Burdett James Spokane
Memorial service for Burdett D. James, 96, will be held at a later date. Private burial will be at Riverside Memorial Park. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. James, who died Feb. 21, was born in Champaign, Ill.
He was an 80-year Spokane resident and was a baker for Continental Baking Co. for 30 years. He also served as a business agent for the Bakers Union for 10 years.
He was a member of the civil service board for the Spokane County Sheriff’s Department.
His wife, Florence, died in 1996.
Survivors include a son, Dick James of Leavenworth, Wash.; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Ruth Bailey Colville, Wash.
Memorial service for A. Ruth Bailey, 94, will be held at a later date. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born in DeWitt, Iowa, Mrs. Bailey died Monday.
She lived in Kettle Falls, Wash., from 1917 until 1988, when she moved to Colville.
Mrs. Bailey was a homemaker and had also worked as a telephone operator in the Kettle Falls area.
She is survived by her husband of 75 years, Ed; two sons, Don and Rodger Bailey, both of Colville; two daughters, Jean Cooper of Port Orchard, Wash., and Donna Areheart of Lexington, S.C.; three sisters, Marion Boggess of Lynnwood, Wash., Virginia Barber of Boring, Ore., and Gertrude Sparks of Dallas; 16 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Pearl Brown Priest River, Idaho
Private service for Pearl Marie Brown, 86, will be held at a later date. Sherman-Knapp Funeral Home in Newport, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Brown, who was born in Dent, Idaho, died Saturday.
Her family moved to the Priest River area when she was 16.
In 1930 she married Herb Brown. Mrs. Brown was a homemaker and cooked in logging camps.
She and her husband were ranchers near Blue Lake until moving into Priest River in 1970.
Her husband died in 1972.
Survivors include three sons, Gerald Brown of Priest River, Richard Brown of Coolin, Idaho, and Carl Brown of Cheney; a daughter, Bonnie Bower of Priest River; a brother, Al Simmons of Chelan, Wash.; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Bernice Pirello Spokane
No service will be held for Bernice M. Pirello, 77, at her request. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Pirello, who died Sunday, was born in Gillette, Wyo.
In 1947 she moved to Spokane from Nebraska.
Mrs. Pirello worked for Martin Wood Products and later worked on the assembly line at Key Tronic for five years.
She was a member of the Spokane Valley Eagles Lodge.
Survivors include a daughter, Pamela Norman of Spokane; a son, Danny Pirello of California; three sisters, Mary Cline of Franklin, Neb., Doris Shriner of Dodge City, Kan., and Norma Whittwer of Colorado Springs; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
