Holly Braun made 11 of 16 free throws, including four in the final 1:32, as the Hurricanes eliminated the Gorillas.
Davenport coach Jim Stinson was whistled for a technical foul with 5.2 seconds remaining. Cindy Swain had just scored to pull Davenport within one, 49-48. Braun made one free throw on the technical and Darby DeVries followed with a basket with 2.5 to go.
Mt. Vernon Christian’s Sarah Kuipers scored the first six points of the fourth quarter on the way to 20 points. Swain pulled down 13 rebounds, seven offensive, for Davenport.

Lindsay Ritter’s 27-foot 3-pointer at the buzzer for Neah Bay sent the game into overtime. Kittitas outscored the Red Devils 12-5 in the extra period of the loser-out game, with Lindsay Hart scoring five of her 18 points in the session.
Jenny Hansberry scored a putback in OT for the Coyotes on her way to a team-high 21 points.
Lisa Halttunen made 4 of 11 3-pointers, 6 of 17 total field goals and 9 of 11 free throws for a game-high 25 points.

Rachea Allert had 18 points, eight rebounds, six assists and five steals as the Rangers won a game at state for the first time since 1983 to send the Warriors home. Selkirk overcame 25 percent shooting in the second half and finished 34 percent from the floor. King’s West struggled offensively, making only 11 of 45 field-goal tries (24.4 percent).

Leiza missed a 3-pointer with 42 seconds left and her team trailing by two.
Clallam Bay’s Emily Dukes made 11 of 26 field goals and 6 of 10 free throws for 28 points and had a game-high 13 rebounds.

The Shockers were playing catch-up the entire second half, but couldn’t catch the Cougars because Deeandra Smith refused to go away.
Smith began the fourth quarter with a 3-pointer, then converted two free throws with 6:09 left and hit another 3 at 4:46. She nailed two more free throws with 10.4 to go and passed to Kristina Lucas for an assist at 3:05 for a 46-37 lead.

The Vikings hung tough for the first quarter behind a quick start from Hope Adams, but then Wenchi Liu took charge and the Dragons took over.
St. George’s, which outscored Willapa Valley 18-5 in the second quarter for a 37-21 halftime lead, shot 50.9 percent to Willapa Valley’s 30 percent. Liu scored six of her team-high 22 points during an 11-0 first-quarter run, including a layin with 2:47 left for a 13-11 lead. The Dragons didn’t trail again.
Liu was 5 of 9 from the floor in the first half and 10 of 17 for the game. She also had six assists and five steals.

Carrie Spencer had three of her team’s five first-quarter blocks as the Tigers established a force in the paint that the Vikings couldn’t handle.
Spencer made 7 of 7 free throws and the Tigers were 18 of 25 from the line to the Vikings’ 4 of 8.
Tasha Swinney and Katie Coles scored 15 and 14 points, respectively, to lead Gar-Pal, but they combined to shoot 12 of 37 and the Vikings were 25 percent for the game.

The Tigercats trailed 32-24 going into the fourth quarter, but scored eight unanswered points and tied the game on a basket by Danielle Ayers-Stamper with 3:51 left. Ayers-Stamper followed with two free throws at 3:11 for a 34-32 lead. L-W led the rest of the way and converted 6 of 7 free throws in the final 2:07.
L-W finished the game with a 17-2 run and is guaranteed at least sixth place in its first state appearance. Panthers sophomore Carli Smith, who held Tigercats posts Kate Baumann and Ayers-Stamper with only one rebound in the first half while pulling down seven, threw the ball out of bounds with 1:38 left and missed at 1:03. She finished with a game-high 12 rebounds.
Valley Christian’s Kasie Cupp made just 2 of 15 field goals - 1 of 9 3-pointers - for five points.
