Neva-Wood Cops Getting New Leader

The Neva-Wood COPS shop is getting a new leader in Patty Boyce, who is the acting president until new officers are elected.

Boyce is filling the void left by former president Margaret Lewis, who resigned Monday.

The Neva-Wood COPS substation is in full operation and open to the public.

Anyone interested in becoming a COPS or Block Watch volunteer can pick up an application at the nearest COPS substation. Those locations are listed in the city government section of the telephone directory. Potential volunteers can also call the main office of Spokane Community Oriented Policing Services at 625-3300.
