Jim Bullard threw 4-1/3 shutout innings Tuesday to preserve UC Santa Barbara’s 7-4 win over visiting Washington State in a nonconference baseball game.

Bullard allowed three hits to earn the save. Reliever Jamie Gonzalez (1-0) earned the win with 3-2/3 scoreless innings.

WSU (8-13) led 4-0 after second baseman David Perreira hit a solo home run in the top of the second inning. Chad Peshke’s two-run double in the fourth for the Gauchos (10-10) snapped a 4-all tie.

Travis Martinek pitched one-hit ball for four innings to lead North Idaho College to a 4-2 non-conference win over visiting Community Colleges of Spokane.

Martinek (1-1) struck out four and walked one. Catcher Rob Sumner doubled twice and had two RBIs for the Cardinals (5-8).

CCS infielder Keith Thompson was 3 for 4 with an RBI.

Women’s golf

Jennifer Dodd fired a final-round 72 to finish in 11th place and lead WSU to a sixth-place finish at the 16-team Pioneer Electronic Bruin Classic at Menifee (Calif.) Lakes Country Club.

Pepperdine’s Lindsey Wright won by carding 216, eight strokes better than Dodd. Pepperdine won the team title with an 881.

Football

The Spokane Sea Hawkers will welcome Seattle Seahawks running back Ahman Green to today’s 7 p.m. public meeting at Season Ticket, 1221 N. Howard St.

High school boys soccer

Jake Moug scored three goals for the second consecutive match and led Riverside (2-0, 1-0) to a 4-0 win over visiting Deer Park in a Great Northern League opener.

Spencer Ramsey and Nathan Henrickson applied the defense to help the Rams blank DP (0-1).
