Liquidation World Has New Home

After losing its lease at Shadle Center, Liquidation World has opened a store in the Northgate Mall, at 7714 N. Division.

With a newer building, 30,000 square feet of space, and great visibility to Division Street traffic, the closing at Shadle may have been a blessing in disguise, said Jon Billington, Puget Sound market manager.

Liquidation World buys inventory from manufacturers and business in distress, such as bankruptcy or disaster damage, and sells merchandise well below regular retail.

“We buy off-season stuff so in the winter you might find lawn equipment It’s all a part of treasure hunt,” Billington said.

Liquidation World is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.

The Division Street store, the largest of Liquidation World’s Spokane area stores, has hired 16 new employees. Some workers from Shadle have transferred there, as well.

Liquidation World is the largest liquidator in Canada, Billington said. Plans are in the works to open stores in Idaho and Montana.
