Wheelchair Tennis

Gill Banta of Brusly, La., hits a forehand in Division C men’s doubles finals of the Cajan Classic wheelchair Tennis tournament Sunday in Baton Rouge, La. The four-day, United States Tennis Association Southern Sectional tournament attracted over 100 competitors in divisions from novice to open and hundreds of spectators, as well. About 40 percent of the athletes that entered the competition were from outside the United States. The special event gives the wheelchair-bound athlete an occasion to show off their speed and accuracy on the courts.
