UI Students Inducted Into Phi Beta Kappa

North Idaho students were recently honored for academic achievement and were inducted into the University of Idaho chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, a liberal arts and science honor society.

Eligible students must be juniors or seniors with a major in the college of letters and science, meet specific requirements for a length of time as UI students and attain a certain grade-point average over that timeframe. Requirements vary based on the number of years in school.

Area students are listed by hometown.

Bonners Ferry: Sara Douthit and Kelli Ripatti.

Moscow: Hannah Atwood, Natali Miller, Lee Pike and Brigitte Reynolds.

St. Maries: Mary Suenkel.

Local students were recently inducted into the University of Idaho chapter of Phi Kappa Phi, a general university honor society.

Inductees consist of a maximum of 10 percent of the senior class in each college who have attained a minimum grade-point average of 3.55, and no more than 25 members of the junior class in each college who have attained a minimum gpa of 3.7.

Hayden Lake: Kristine Hoskins.

Moscow: Luke Raymond, Meghan Beard, Benjamin Hunter, Celia Doerann-George, Jennifer Rock, Ronald Davis, Matthew Pilcher, Kevin Laughlin, Tracy Olson, John Meyer, Jenny Schmidt, Jack Tappe and Dene Thomas.

Post Falls: Julia LeRoy.

Troy: Angela Koski.

Tara Ogle, the daughter of Barry and Tammy Benoit of Post Falls, and Steve Ogle of Spokane, was recently named to the quarterly dean’s list at the University of Washington.
