A 52-year-old Othello man was seriously injured Sunday afternoon when his pickup failed to make a curve and rolled, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Donald Chapman was headed south on Highway 21 toward Wilbur when his 1993 Nissan truck left the road, went into a ditch and rolled, coming to rest on its wheels. Chapman was not wearing a seat belt and suffered severe facial trauma, the WSP said.

He was taken by ambulance to the Telford rest area on Highway 2 between Davenport and Creston and then by MedStar to Deaconess Medical Center in Spokane, where he was listed in serious condition Monday.
