Lc Class Shows Outstanding Spirit

To imagine such a great group of peers would be impossible; that’s the remarkability of our senior Class of 2000. Math Team, Associated Student Body, band, sports, drama, choir, debate and drill team are just some of the activities our class has been involved in. We have not just participated in activities but also supported them.

Our class spirit has reigned supreme, and it showed when we won the Rubber Chicken this year and three out of the four years we have been in high school.

All four years have been important, and during those years one person has had an amazing impact on our class.

Coach John Hook has been there from coaching the football team to teaching conditioning. But most of all he availed himself to listen and talk to us.

He genuinely cared about all of us, and his inspiration has influenced our class as a whole tremendously.

This year challenged the seniors. We transferred from our beloved LC building to an office building deeper into the heart of downtown.

Our class could not have handled the transition better. Although there were bumps in the road, we carried our Tiger pride from the old LC building down to the Holly-Mason Building. We left a building of highway noise, stairwells of space and halls of communion to come to one with train noise, cramped stairwells, and halls where communion is an adventure.

Our class has stuck together throughout these years of judgment.

Who knows what the future will hold? Some of us will be pursuing careers while others go off to college.

However, no one will forget what was learned during these high school days. Each individual of this class will have an incredible impact on the world, thanks to the atmosphere LC has provided.

Perhaps the most valuable lesson that we have learned as a class is that we must keep our options in life open, for if we rely on only one path, then we allow the path to control us instead of us controlling our own destiny.
