Center Offering Rape-Survivor Support Group
The Spokane Sexual Assault Center will start a new rape-survivor support group early next month.
Meetings will be held every Tuesday from 5:15 to 6:30 p.m. at the Sexual Assault Center, 7 S. Howard, Suite 200. The first meeting will be June 6.
The focus of the group is support and education geared toward adult women survivors of rape.

Tee off to benefit Camp Champ
The American Lung Association of Washington will host its fourth annual Camp Champ Golf Tournament on June 14 at the Creek at Qualchan.
A shotgun start is set for 1 p.m. The entry fee is $75 per person and includes greens fee, cart and dinner.
Camp Champ is a summer camp for children ages 6-12 with asthma. To register or for more information, call 325-6516.
Arts and crafts fair in the Valley
The Coalition of Responsible Disabled will host an arts and crafts extravaganza in the Safeway parking lot at Sprague and Evergreen from 9 to 4 p.m. Saturday. There will be a variety of arts and crafts on hand, and there will also be a silent auction and raffle.
Proceeds from the event will be used to supply people with disabilities needing assistive devices such as wheelchair ramps.
The group operates a nonresidential Center for Independent Living that works to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities.
