Central Pre-Mix Shuffles Team
Dan W. Murphy, president of Central Pre-Mix Concrete Co., has been named president of Northwest Materials Group for Oldcastle Materials, the company said.
Murphy also will become president and chief executive officer of CPM Development Corp., the holding company for Central Pre-Mix Concrete Co., Central Pre-Mix Prestress Co., Inland Asphalt Co., Acme Materials and Interstate Concrete and Asphalt Co.
Michael K. Murphy, who previously held those positions, will become a consultant to Oldcastle and CPM in the Western states. He recently announced plans to scale back to a part-time role.
Oldcastle Materials Group is the American holding company for Dublin, Ireland-based CRH PLC. Oldcastle bought Central Pre-Mix, Inland Asphalt and Interstate in 1997 and added Acme Materials and Construction in July.
The companies also announced that Randy Wild, who has managed Inland Asphalt Co. since 1994, has been named president of Inland, succeeding Mike Murphy. Wild also was named president of Acme Materials, which has been mostly merged into Inland and Central.
Dan Murphy joined Central Pre-Mix in 1962 after graduating from Seattle University. He has been president of the company since 1985, and he will retain that role.
Wild earned a civil engineering degree from the University of Idaho and worked for the Idaho Department of Transportation before joining Inland Asphalt. He was named vice president of Inland in 1997.
