Locke To Dedicate Tech Classroom

Gov. Gary Locke will be in Pullman today to help dedicate an electronic classroom with $825,000 in new equipment and technology donated by Microsoft. The event is from noon until 12:30 p.m. in Todd Hall.

The classroom, which will be used by WSU’s management information systems business program, features 48 networked computer stations as well as a command center with touch-screen technology.

The program is the most popular major in the business college, with nearly 500 majors as of fall 2000. Graduates have taken jobs in the Northwest with starting salaries of about $45,000.
