UW Fanfare

Question: Did you ever imagine it could be like this?

I predicted the Huskies would win 41-14. Seriously. Offensive line domination and Tuiasosopo. He’s great.

Steve Eglet, Spokane

To tell you the truth, we were a little worried because after watching the last three weeks the Cougars barely lose in games they should have won, I was worried. I don’t understand why it’s 51-3, I’m flabbergasted.

Jay Gilmour, Seattle

No, I did not. Typically if the Cougars are going to be up for any game, it’s going to be this one and they’ll give us the toughest game regardless. I was quite surprised.

Riene Niemczick, Raymond, Wash.

I picked 44-0 before the game started because we’re a better team. We were hoping for 44-0 because we’re just a better team. But we would have settled for 3-0, too.

Jim Cox, Everett

When we got the first couple of scores, they got pretty rattled and (WSU quarterback Matt) Kegel got nailed a few times. But my husband’s a Cougar fan and he said the refs gave us 13 points right off the bat.

Gail Houck, Portland

I didn’t think it would be this easy. The strengths of both teams play to each other’s weaknesses, so I figured it would probably be a shootout.
