Cda Girls Settle For Tie
Coeur d’Alene’s girls soccer team has been fit to be tied during the week.
Megan Foland scored twice on Wednesday, including a goal at 68 minutes that allowed Cheney (7-2-1, 6-1-1) to tie visiting CdA at 3 in a Border League match featuring the second- and third-place teams.
CdA (9-2-3, 5-0-3) has tied three matches during the last six days, including Saturday’s 2-all knot with Lake City. Lake City (6-0-1 league) is in first place.
Foland’s final goal was off a corner kick from Lori Regnier.
Katie Streeter of the Vikings had scored at 60 minutes to complete her team’s rally from a 2-0 deficit.
Volleyball
Tiffany Magnus served nine consecutive points for a 9-3 second-game lead, and Kellogg (9-7) closed out visiting Wallace 16-14, 15-6 in a non-league match. Jennifer Absec and Kacie Martello of the Wildcats combined for 13 kills. Stephanie Lavigne served the Miners (13-8) to a 14-all tie in the first game after Kellogg led 14-8.
