Man Sought In Beating, Rape

Police are looking for a man who allegedly beat and raped a 23-year-old woman early Sunday on Spokane’s South Side.

The woman told police that a man grabbed her about 2:30 a.m. and dragged her into an alley in the 100 block of South Cedar.

After the assault, the man ran from the area, police said.

The woman was treated at an area hospital for a fractured nose, a missing tooth, facial lacerations and possible head injuries.

The rape suspect is described as a black male in his 30s, 5 feet 11 inches and 220 pounds with a muscular build. He had a shaved head and a mustache and was wearing a black pullover sweat shirt with a hood and black jeans.
