Republican, age 54 … grew up in North Idaho … attended Post Falls High School … worked as a patrolman for the Spokane Police Department from 1969 to 1970 … worked for the Post Falls Police Department … Kootenai County sheriff from 1977 to 1981 … runs Watson Agency, a security business in Coeur d’Alene, with his wife, Mary … appointed sheriff in 1999 after Pierce Clegg resigned.
