Trail Gets Boost

Spokane River Centennial Trail

Bikers, pedestrians and in-line skaters were able to eat their cake summer knowing they’ll be able to work off the extra calories on their favorite trail.

The Sawtooth Grill recently donated $6,000 to the Friends of the Centennial Trail from their summer promotion in which $1 from the sale of each of the restaurant’s special fudge cakes was earmarked for trail projects.

The restaurant staff also has joined other groups who have committed to maintaining a mile of the 37-mile paved route along the river.

Meanwhile, repaving of the trail between Flora and Barker roads is underway. Expect detours through much of November.
