Steeplebush Spiraea Douglasii

Blooms: July to September.

Where: By streamsides and in moist meadows.

Summary: Each of the many minute flowers actually have five petals. Note the steeple-like shape of the flower clusters distinguishing Steeplebush from Pink Spirea wherein the flowers are in elongated clusters close to the stem. Steeplebush is also known as Hardhack.
