Lake Cda Drawdown To Begin Tuesday
Avista Corp. will begin the annual drawdown of Lake Coeur d’Alene on Tuesday. The lake level is expected to drop at a rate of 1-1/2 feet per month through December, from the lake’s current summer elevation of 2,128 feet to 2,122 feet, according to Steve Hemstrom, Avista hydro operations engineer.
A 24-hour hotline with notification of elevation changes on the lake, the Spokane River and Long Lake is available for shoreline property owners, commercial and recreation users. The number is (208) 769-1357 in Idaho and (509) 495-8043 in Washington.
