Bernice Nigh Spokane
Memorial service for Bernice M. Nigh, 76, will be at 9:30 a.m. today at the home of her daughter, Susan Shubert. The Neptune Society of Washington is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Rockford, Mrs. Nigh died Wednesday.
She lived in Worley, Idaho, for more than 50 years before moving to Spokane 4-1/2 years ago.
Mrs. Nigh was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Wynn; three sons, John Nigh of Harrison, Idaho, and Tom and Willis Nigh, both of Worley; two daughters, Susan Shubert of Spokane and Alice Houle of Federal Way, Wash.; a sister, Betty Schuchman of Yakima; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
Maxine (Hoag) Koch Spokane
Memorial service for Maxine (Hoag) Koch, 86, was Wednesday at the Good Samaritan Center.
A longtime Spokane County resident, Mrs. Koch died Saturday. She was born in Worley, Idaho, where she graduated from high school.
She was a homemaker and also worked as a clerk for The Crescent department store and at a store in Rockford.
Mrs. Koch was a member of the Rock Rollers in Spokane and the Lake Creek Ladies Club in Rockford.
Her husband, Benjy, died in 1992.
Survivors include a son, Dennis Koch of Spokane; a brother, Lyle Hoag of Carmichael, Calif.; a sister, Alene Polkstefl of Greenacres; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

David Steen Hansville, Wash.
Graveside service for David John Steen, 52, was Friday at McArthur Cemetery near Naples, Idaho.
Born in Spokane, Mr. Steen died Monday.
He moved to Seattle in 1962. He graduated from Cleveland High School in Seattle and then served with the Army Airborne in Vietnam. He received a Bronze Star.
Mr. Steen moved to Spokane after his military service and worked as a counterman at Lucas Motors. He retired and moved to Hansville in 1998.
Survivors include two brothers, Alvin Steen of Sandpoint and Gordon Steen of Hansville; five sisters, Esther Braten of Everett, Arlene Helsing of Cheney, Edith Poquette and Inez Derington, both of Spokane, and Evelien Reeve of Liberty Lake; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bonnie Garrison Rathdrum, Idaho
A celebration of the life of Bonnie Zell Garrison, 58, is planned for today at 2 p.m. at Coeur d’Alene Christian Center. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Coeur d’Alene. English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Garrison, who was born in Boise, died Wednesday.
She lived in Boise and was a homemaker until moving to Rathdrum in 1980.
In 1984 she married Gordon Garrison.
She attended Coeur d’Alene Christian Center and was devoted to ministering to others.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Donald Kellogg of Rathdrum; two daughters, Rhonda Keller of Bainbridge Island, Wash., and Gina Hardy of Rathdrum; two brothers, Sylvan Swett of Anchorage, Alaska, and Gale Swett of Oregon; a sister, Lynn McClain of Nampa, Idaho; and nine grandchildren.
Stanley Greif Troy, Idaho
Private graveside service for Stanley W. Greif, 44, will be held at a later date. Short’s Funeral Chapel in Moscow, Idaho, is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Greif, who was born in Yakima, died Wednesday.
He grew up and graduated from high school in Selah, Wash. In 1979 he married Lana Genn . They lived in Washington and other areas of Idaho before settling in Troy.
He worked for the City of Troy and then for the City of Moscow before ill health forced early retirement.
Mr. Greif built and refinished guns and enjoyed outdoor recreation, hunting, fishing and camping.
Survivors include his wife; two children, Steven and Lisa, both of Troy; his parents, George and Virginia Greif of Selah; four sisters, Doreen Miller of Bremerton, Barbara West and Kris Cannon, both of Selah, and Kathy Gosnell of Naches, Wash.; and a brother, Phil Greif of Oregon.

Elizabeth Rinehart Sandpoint
Private service for Elizabeth C. Rinehart, 89, will be held at a later date. Coffelt Funeral Service in Sandpoint is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Rinehart, who was born in Kentucky, died Wednesday.
She graduated from high school in Louisville, Ky., and also attended college there. She taught in various private schools in Kentucky for 12 years.
She later lived in Massachusetts and New York before moving to Sandpoint in 1998.
She was a member of the Episcopal Church Survivors include a son, Chris Rinehart of Sagle, Idaho; a sister, Edna Cole of Naples, Fla.; and a niece.
Dorothy Zimmerman Spokane
Memorial service for Dorothy Jane Bellefeuille Zimmerman, 77, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home.
Born in Detroit Lakes, Minn., Mrs. Zimmerman died Wednesday.
She was a 55-year Spokane resident and worked as a bookkeeper for the Spokane County treasurer’s office for 23 years. She retired in 1985.
Her husband, Gaylord, died in 1975.
Her first husband, Edwin Bellefeuille, died in 1981.
Survivors include a daughter, Lynda Schoenberg of Spokane; two sons, Jeff Bellefeuille of Spokane and Dana Bellefeuille of Newman Lake; six grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
Donald Willard Spokane
No service will be held for Donald E. Willard, 68, at his request. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Springdale, Wash., Mr. Willard died Monday.
After graduating from Springdale High School, he moved to Spokane.
Mr. Willard was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union and worked for Calkins Trailers for more than 20 year.
His wife, Florence, died in 1997.
Survivors include two sons, Roger Willard of the Tri-Cities and Donald Willard Jr. of Ford, Wash.; a daughter, Lorna Sutliff of Spokane; a stepdaughter, Carol Siegenthaler of Mead; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Doris Oswinkle Spokane
No service will be held for Doris Oswinkle, 67, at her request. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Baltimore, Mrs. Oswinkle died Tuesday.
She was a 30-year Spokane resident and worked as a child-care provider.
Survivors include two sons, Charles and Allen Holland, both of Spokane; three daughters, Vicki Schmaltz of Spokane, Billie Baker of Reno, Nev., and Alice Sills of Baltimore; 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
