Forrest McKeehan Chewelah
Service for Forrest O. McKeehan, 93, is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday at Schanzenbach Funeral Home in Chewelah. Burial will follow at Chewelah Memorial Park.
A 47-year Chewelah resident, Mr. McKeehan died Tuesday. He was born in Kayford, W.Va.
During World War II he served in the Navy with Fleet Air Wing No. 16 in the South Atlantic.
In 1944 he married Mary Strong.
He was a teacher for more than 40 years and retired from Chewelah School District No. 36.
Survivors include his wife; a son, James McKeehan of Klamath Falls, Ore.; a daughter, Carol Tindal of Chewelah; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Terry Heminger St. Maries
Memorial service for Terry V. Heminger, 55, will be held today at 1 p.m. at Yates-Hodge Funeral Home in St. Maries.
Mr. Heminger, who was born in St. Maries, died Monday.
He grew up in St. Maries and worked as a sawyer in the timber industry for various area logging contractors. In 1985 he began working at Edwards Lumber Mill.
Mr. Heminger married Susan Coll in 1990. They lived in St. Maries and divorced in 1999.
He was a driver for Jack Buell Trucking at the time of his death.
He had served as past worthy president of the St. Maries Eagles Lodge and enjoyed hunting, fishing and outdoor activities.
Survivors include three stepchildren, Michael, Phillip and Christina Coll, all of St. Maries; his mother, Marian Pentland of Spokane; and two sisters, Carol Albert of Spokane and Deanna Villeaux of Soap Lake, Wash.

Geraldine Hills Spokane
Visitation for Geraldine E. “Gerri” Hills, 72, will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Ball and Dodd Funeral HomeNorth. Service is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
Born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Mrs. Hills died Monday.
Her family moved to Metaline Falls, Wash., when she was an infant.
In 1945 she moved to Spokane and later graduated from Glen Dow Hair Academy.
Mrs. Hills worked as a beautician for a short time.
In 1949 she married Stanley Hills. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Robin and Sean Hills, and a daughter, Tonni Griffith, all of Spokane; a sister, Phyllis Fox of Portland; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

June Welch Post Falls
Visitation for June R. Welch, 71, will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at English Funeral Chapel in Post Falls. Graveside service is planned for 2 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Post Falls.
Mrs. Welch, who was born in Everett, died Tuesday.
In 1947 she married Floyd Welch. They moved to the Spokane area in 1950.
Mrs. Welch later moved to Post Falls. She had worked as a cook at various area restaurants.
She was a member of the Spokane Assembly of God Church and Take Off Pounds Sensibly in Post Falls. She enjoyed crocheting and garage-sale shopping.
Her husband died in 1997.
Survivors include three sons, Danny Welch of Spokane, and Chuck and Bob Welch, both of Post Falls; two daughters, Judy Monroe and Carol Misita, both of Post Falls; a sister, Isabelle Wilkes of Spokane; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Theodore Ross III Spokane
Memorial service for Theodore N. Ross III, 48, was Tuesday at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home.
A 15-year Spokane resident, Mr. Ross died Saturday. He was born in New Orleans.
He worked in building maintenance for the Spokane Transit Authority for 12 years.
Survivors include his wife, Angela; five daughters, Shanyka, Genell, Taquia, Tatiana and Felicia; his mother, Delores Ross; 12 brothers and sisters; and one granddaughter.
Nadeen (Kennedy) West Spokane
Service for Nadeen Pearl (Kennedy) West, 83, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church in Wilson Creek, Wash. Burial will follow at Wilson Creek Cemetery. Kayser’s Chapel of Memories in Moses Lake is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. West, who was born in Wilbur, Wash., died Tuesday.
She graduated from Wilson Creek High School.
In 1940 she married Wilbur West. They lived in Redding, Calif., before returning to Wilson Creek to farm at Stratford, Wash.
Mrs. West worked as a bookkeeper for the Wilson Creek Grain and Trading Co. for 15 years. She also drove a wheat truck during harvests.
She moved to Seattle in 1978 and then back to Wilson Creek in 1983.
Mrs. West moved to Spokane two years ago and lived at Brighton Court.
She was a member of Wilson Creek First Presbyterian Church, the Rebekah Lodge and the Adrian Grange.
Her husband died in 1977.
Survivors include a daughter, Miriam Myers of Wilson Creek and Liberty Lake; three grandchildren and five great-grandsons.

Millie (Lewis) Pingree Spokane
Service for Millie Althea (Lewis) Pingree, 97, will be at 11 a.m. today at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 40th and Bowdish. Burial will follow at Pines Cemetery. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Pingree, who was born in McCammon, Idaho, died Sunday.
During World War II she knitted socks, wrapped bandages and served in other ways for the American Red Cross.
She moved to Spokane 10 years ago from Santa Barbara, Calif.
Mrs. Pingree was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Harvey Mitchell and Larry Pingree.
Survivors include two sons, Eddie Mitchell of Richland and Wayne Mitchell of Pioche, Nev.; two daughters, Virginia Tidwell and Norma Schultz, both of Spokane; a brother, Ellis Lewis of Fallon, Nev.; 26 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
Stephen Dionne Kellogg
No service will be held for Stephen Dionne, 47, at his request. Shoshone Funeral Service in Kellogg is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Dionne, who was born in Malta, Mont., died Monday.
He grew up in Kellogg and graduated in 1972 from Kellogg High School. He worked at the Sunshine Mine until taking an early medical retirement.
In 1988 he married Sherry Mason.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Stephen Dionne of Kellogg; two stepchildren, Toni Emerson of Kellogg and David Emerson of Spokane; his mother, Betty Dionne of Post Falls; three brothers, Bob Dionne of Cataldo, Idaho, and Doug and Kenny Dionne, both of Coeur d’Alene; two sisters, Karen Smith of Florida and Debra Stage of Boise; and one grandchild, Madison.
Jack Corbin Jr. Coeur d’Alene
No service will be held for Jack Corbin Jr., 86, at his request. Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Corbin, who was born in Spokane, died Monday.
He grew up in Spokane and graduated in 1932 from North Central High School.
He served with the Army during World War II.
Mr. Corbin returned to Spokane after his military discharge and worked for the Postal Service.
He kept a a cabin on Priest Lake, and after retiring spent summers there and winters in Mexico.
He married Ruby “Bobbie” Hunt in 1982. They recently moved to Coeur d’Alene.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Jack “Kelly” Corbin of Spokane; a sister, Milly Heaton of Arizona; and one nephew.
Alice Myers Colville, Wash.
Service for Alice F. Myers, 79, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Danekas Funeral Chapel in Colville. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Colville.
A lifetime Colville resident, Mrs. Myers died Monday.
She graduated from Marcus (Wash.) High School.
In 1940 she married Glen Myers.
Mrs. Myers worked in the maintenance department at SeaFirst Bank for more than 27 years. For the past 15 years she had been working for Senior Community Service Employment Program with the Forest Service.
Her husband died in 1955.
Survivors include two sons, Dale Myers of Colville and Darrel Myers of Elk; two daughters, Linda Foster and Sharon Fry, both of Spokane; a sister, Barbara Palmer of Seattle; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Walter Fiechtner Spokane
Service for Walter Fiechtner, 88, was Wednesday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Burial followed at Fairmount Memorial Park. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Fiechtner, who was born in Hoffnungsthal in the Glueckstal District of south Russia, died Sunday.
In 1912 his family came to the United States. He attended schools in North and South Dakota.
He married Viola Zweigardt in 1936. They moved to Washington, settling in Reardan before moving to Spokane 58 years ago.
Mr. Fiechtner worked as a heavy-equipment operator for the city of Spokane for 28 years. He and his wife also owned the Melrose Corner Grocery Store until 1961.
Mr. Fiechtner was a member of Eagles Lodge No. 2 and the German American Society.
His wife died in 1998.
Survivors include two daughters, Marilyn Fiechtner and Marianne Angelo, and a son, Larry Fiechtner, all of Spokane; three sisters, Lundena Frost of Spokane, Rosina Bauman of South Dakota and Amelia Flaig of California; a brother, Harold Fiechtner of South Dakota; three grandsons and five great-grandchildren.
