Selfheal Prunella Lanceolata

Where: In fields, woods and waste areas.

Summary: Also called heal-all. The plant was once used in England as a poultice for wounds. It was also combined with catnip and used as a laxative. This is the native American variety of selfheal. The European variety is P. vulgaris, which has leaves that are more elliptical.
