Marsha Mason Rathdrum, Idaho
Service for Marsha Joy Mason, 49, will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Yates Funeral Home, Hayden Chapel. Burial will be at Pinegrove Cemetery in Rathdrum.
Mrs. Mason, who was born in Seattle, died Thursday.
She grew up and graduated from high school in Seattle. She lived in Utah before moving to the Coeur d’Alene area.
In 1991 she married Pat Mason.
She had worked as a waitress at Panhandler Pies in Sandpoint for several years and then became a waitress at Granny’s Pantry in Coeur d’Alene.
She enjoyed river rafting and camping.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Amy Bell of Post Falls, and Tamra McNew of Monroe, Wash.; her mother, Joyce Griffith of Washington state; 16 brothers and sisters, and three grandchildren.
Richard Chapman Spokane
Memorial service for Richard R. Chapman, 79, will be at 2 p.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home.
Mr. Chapman, who died Sunday, was born in St. Helens, Ore.
He graduated from St. Helens High School. Mr. Chapman served in the Coast Guard during World War II.
In 1954 he moved to Spokane.
He worked in the grocery industry and served on the board for U.R.M. in Spokane. He retired in 1968.
Mr. Chapman and his wife, Maxine, lived in several Washington cities and in Post Falls before returning to Spokane in 1990.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years; two daughters, Patricia Olmstead of Grandview, Wash., and Beverly Ruark of Yakima; a son, Richard Chapman of Sherwood, Ore.; a brother, Guy Chapman of Provo, Utah; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Spokane.
Duane `Pinky’ White Almira, Wash.
Service for Duane A. “Pinky” White, 76, will be at 10 a.m. today at Almira Community Church. Burial will follow at Sherman Cemetery in Wilbur, Wash. Strate Funeral Home in Wilbur is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. White, who died Wednesday, was born in Wenatchee.
He graduated in 1941 from Almira High School.
Mr. White attended Eastern Washington State College before joining the Army in 1942. He served in a tank division and was with the occupational forces in Japan.
In 1945 he married Mary Hazel.
Mr. White returned to Almira and worked with his father at White Motor Co. In 1973 he became manager of the company and in 1984 became owner, after his mother’s death.
He was a charter member of the Almira Lions Club, was a member and past master of the Almira Masonic Lodge, and member of the American Legion.
His wife, Mary, died in 1993.
Survivors include two sons, Duane White of Almira and Steve White of Olympia; two daughters, Lori White of Las Vegas and Sally Rowan of Leadville, Colo.; a sister, Yvaughn Carstensen of Almira; and three grandchildren.

James Fletcher Hayden, Idaho
No service will be held for James Robert “Jim” Fletcher, 72, at his request. Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Fletcher, who was born in Findlay, Ohio, died Sunday.
He grew up in Denver and enlisted in the Coast Guard at the age of 17. He served during World War II.
After his discharge from the Coast Guard Mr. Fletcher settled in California and married Emma Jeffress in 1956. They moved to Illinois in 1961.
He returned to Denver in 1968 and was employed as a sheetmetal worker until retiring and moving to Coeur d’Alene in 1990. He and his wife moved to Hayden in 1994.
His wife died in 1998.
He enjoyed fishing, traveling, camping and outdoor recreation.
Survivors include two daughters, Pamela Fletcher of Boise and Sharon Scheibel of Hayden; a brother, Daniel Fletcher of Littleton, Colo.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Edna (Hall) Crow Fairfield
Service for Edna (Hall) Crow, 94, will be at 2 p.m. today at Community Presbyterian Church in Oakesdale, Wash. Burial will follow at the Oakesdale Cemetery. Bruning Funeral Home in Colfax, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Steptoe, Wash., Mrs. Crow died Wednesday.
She graduated from Steptoe High School and Cheney Normal School.
Mrs. Crow taught school in the Oakesdale area until marrying Robert Crow in 1926. They farmed in the Oakesdale area.
Her husband died in 1996, and Mrs. Crow moved to the Good Samaritan Center in Fairfield a year ago.
She was a member of Community Presbyterian Church, the Daughters of the Nile, the Hope Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star and the Oakesdale Grange.
Survivors include a son, Mac Crow of Oakesdale; two daughters, Jannis Snook of Deer Park and Jerrene Holling of Fairfield; nine grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Raymond Inhofer Spokane
Funeral Mass for Raymond J. Inhofer, 75, will be at 10 a.m. today at Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Inhofer, who was born in Montgomery, Minn., died Wednesday.
He was a 36-year Spokane resident.
For 42 years Mr. Inhofer worked in rail marketing in Seattle, Tacoma, Portland, St. Paul, Minn., St. Louis, Mo., and Dallas.
He served as general chairman for a United Way drive in 1976.
Mr. Inhofer was a member of the Spokane Area Chamber of Commerce and Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. He was past president of the Spokane Transportation Club.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred; two sons, Richard Inhofer of Longview, Wash., and Raymond Inhofer of Topeka, Kan.; a daughter, Suzan Reid of Orangevale, Calif.; a sister, Betty Pothen of Lake Suzy, Fla.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Arlo Cunnington Bossier City, La.
Service for Arlo Newell Cunnington, a former North Idaho resident, will be today at 10 a.m. at Coffelt Funeral Service in Sandpoint. Graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at Forest Cemetery in Coeur d’Alene.
Mr. Cunnington, who was born in Driggs, Idaho, died last Saturday. He was 52.
He graduated in 1966 from Sandpoint High School. In 1976 he moved to Glasgow, Mont., where he worked in motel management.
Mr. Cunnington moved to Westport, Wash., in 1986 and in 1988 received a business administration certificate. He had worked as a mechanic.
He later moved to North Idaho and worked as a mechanic for Yellowstone Trucking in Coeur d’Alene for 10 years.
Mr. Cunnington recently moved to Bossier City and served as a mechanic for Martin’s Gas and Transit Co.
Survivors include his wife, Sandy; four children, Bill of Seattle, Tina and Fawn, both of Spokane, and Crystal of Montana; five stepchildren, Mandy, Dan, Sabrina, Chip and Katrina; five sisters, Gloria Moran of Sandpoint, Glenda Gibson of Athol, Idaho, Trisha Hines of Spokane, Carol Marcy of Bonners Ferry and Shirla Gonzales of Sagle, Idaho; two brothers, Nile Cunnington of Troy, Mont., and Lloyd Cunnington of Kalispell, Mont.; and 27 grandchildren.
Esther (Okert) Little Spokane
Service for Esther E. (Okert) Little, 90, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Hillyard Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Little, who was born in Max, N.D., died Wednesday.
Her family moved to Spokane in 1921.
In 1931 she married James Little.
During World War II she worked on the assembly line at Brown Industries in the Spokane Valley as a machinist making airplane parts for the war effort.
She later worked as a sales clerk for The Crescent department store.
Mrs. Little was a member of Hillyard Baptist Church.
Her husband died in 1982.
Survivors include two sisters, Emelia Cook of Cheney and Marie Breitsprecher of Port Townsend, Wash.; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Fayetta Schmidt Mabton, Wash.
Service for Fayetta A. Schmidt, a former Spokane and Davenport, Wash., resident, will be at 1 p.m. today at Strate Funeral Home in Davenport, Wash. Burial will follow at Mount View Cemetery in Davenport.
Mrs. Schmidt, who was born in Davenport, died Sunday. She was 82. She lived in Davenport for 42 years until moving to Spokane.
Mrs. Schmidt worked in the kitchen at Rockwood Manor and retired in 1962.
She moved to Mabton four years ago.
Mrs. Schmidt was a member of the Glenrose Women’s Association in Spokane.
Her husband, Raymond, preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Carl Schmidt of Sunnyside, Wash.; two daughters, Vivian Hyslop of Liberty Lake and Alice Chun of San Francisco; a sister, Laura Kellogg of Massachusetts; 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
