Air Arrow Illegal

From Staff Reports

A newly-developed “compressed air arrow” has been outlawed for use while hunting in Idaho.

The Idaho Fish and Game Commission voted Aug. 25 to prohibit use of the tubular metal arrows, which contain a sealed chamber loaded with compressed air. The devise is supposed to erupt into the wound made by the $30 arrow, making it more deadly.

Commissioners said the technology did not conform to the spirit of primitive weapon hunting.
