Muley Antler Rule Changed
The bag limit for mule deer taken by hunters using modern firearms has been changed after the current Washington big-game hunting regulations were published, state Fish and Wildlife Department officials announced last week.
The rules were changed from “any deer” to a “three-point minimum” in the eastern portion of Game Management Unit (GMU) 381. The change was necessary because a mistake that could have allowed a harvest of too many antlerless mule deer.
The rule is effective during the season, Oct. 14-22.
The new bag limit applies to the portion of unit east of the following line: beginning at Pasco; north on U.S. Highway 395 to State Route 17 at Mesa; north on State Route 17 to Muse Road, the unit boundary.
