No Major Movement In Third Spokesman-Review Poll

There were no big shakeups at the top of the high school football rankings in the third week of The Idaho Spokesman-Review polls.

All three area A-1 Division II teams - Sandpoint, Coeur d’Alene and Lake City - won and retained their spots.

In the A-4 eight-man rankings, Mullan moved into the top five with its 62-14 shelling of Clark Fork and Falls Christian fell out after bowing to Kootenai 35-28.

Lakeland and Priest River are tied for fifth in A-2. Lakeland slipped after losing 21-13 to Hellgate of Missoula, but Priest River didn’t jump ahead based on strength of schedules. Lakeland’s preconference schedule has been much more difficult than Priest River’s.

In what many believe will be the showdown for the Intermountain League title, Priest River visits Lakeland a week from Friday.
