NEW FACES:
Carolyn Woodmansee has joined the retail banking division of Washington Trust Bank as a vice president and the market manager for the bank’s North Idaho/Spokane Valley market. Woodmansee has more than 17 years of financial experience.
Harbor Properties has hired Erin Maher as director of real estate marketing/resorts. She will plan and implement the marketing of Harbor’s resort real estate, starting with the village at Schweitzer Mountain near Sandpoint. Maher has 17 years of experience in advertising and marketing for real estate properties. For the past nine years, she was a business and marketing consultant, focusing on corporate and project marketing for commercial real estate companies, the revitalization of distressed income properties, property repositioning and commercial real estate brokerage. Earlier, she was the owner and president of Maher Advertising, a real estate marketing agency.

Dr. Michael J. Cruz has joined the Spokane Ear, Nose & Throat Clinic in the practice of otolaryngology and head and neck surgery. He graduated from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1995 and completed an internship and residency there this year.
Dr. Lawrence S. Eastburn has joined South Hill Family Medicine in the practice of family medicine. A 1997 graduate of Saba University School of Medicine, Eastburn completed an internship and residency this year at Family Medicine Spokane.
Barbara G. Flynn is a certified physician’s assistant at Medex Northwest Spokane. She graduated from Medex Northwest in 1979.
Stephen G. Hammond is a certified physician’s assistant at Family Medicine Spokane. He is a 1984 graduate of Kettering College of Medical Arts.
Dr. Geoffrey G. Julian is practicing otolaryngology at the Spokane Valley Ear, Nose & Throat Clinic. He graduated from Loyola Stritch School of Medicine in 1994 and completed an internship and residency at the University of Utah in 1999.
Robert A. Wood is a certified physician’s assistant at Associated Orthopaedic Specialists PS. He graduated from Baylor University in 1977.

MOVING UP:
Jeff Schneider has been named local sales manager for both KREM Television and KSKN Television. He was previously an account executive for KREM-TV for the past three years. His new responsibilities include the oversight of local account executives, as well as playing a key role in achieving station revenue goals. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business/marketing from San Diego State University.
CERTIFICATIONS:
Allstate insurance agent Dallas O. Hawkins has earned the “Personal Financial Representative” title, and is now able to handle variable annuity, variable life and mutual fund products, as well as auto, homeowner and traditional life insurance products. Hawkins received the title after passing the Series 6 and Series 63 securities license exams and completing an extensive Allstate training program. He is appointed with the broker dealer Allstate Financial Services LLC.
KUDOS:
The following people have received the “Professional Finance Officer” award for 2000 from the Washington Finance Officer’s Association. The award is given annually to association members who have met requirements in community and professional service for ongoing education. Less than 20 percent of WFOA members have qualified for the award: Sheila Creekmore, finance director, city of Deer Park; Christine McCoy, clerk-treasurer, city of Deer Park; James L. Plaster, director of finance/ administration, Spokane Transit Authority; and Dale Sciuchetti, treasurer, city of Spokane.
Regence BlueShield of Idaho has chosen Robert G. Trueblood of Coeur d’Alene as Idaho’s Ageless Hero in the Love of Learning category. Trueblood, who was chosen from over 100 nominees throughout the state, was honored for his pursuit of knowledge by story or experience. He was working as a janitor at North Idaho College when he returned to college and earned a bachelor’s degree. He currently works as a substitute teacher for Coeur d’Alene and Lake City high schools in Coeur d’Alene.
