John And Marilyn Elliot Cheney

John William and Marilyn Smith Elliot celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 12 with a gathering at St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church in Cheney.

Hosts for the event were their children and spouses: Margaret and Bill Heming, Des Moines, Wash.; Jack and Maureen Elliot, Tucson, Ariz.; Marie and Alois Gartner, Rosenheim, Germany; Yvonne Elliot and Steve Grenley, Seattle; Patrica and Howard Malcolm, Stanwood, Wash.; Theresa Elliot-Cheslek, Pullman; Laura Parsons, Medical Lake; Cheryl Ripley and Steve Creel, Cheney; and Bill and Christine Elliot, Bend, Ore.

The Elliots were married Aug. 18, 1950, in Spokane. They have 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
