Trail Help Needed

Mount Spokane State Park

A cross-country ski trail system of 25 kilometers doesn’t happen naturally at Mount Spokane State Park, according to members of the Selkirk Nordic Ski Education Foundation.

Without considerable assistance from volunteers, the alders win and skiers lose, said Tom Frost, the foundation’s lead advocate for volunteer trail-clearing parties.

More volunteers are needed for the last two trail maintenance outings of the year, one on Saturday and one on Oct. 14. Meet at the park entrance at 9 a.m.
