Preparing your Special Needs Child for School – Dawn Sidell of Northwest Autism will speak on this subject, Monday from 6:30-8 p.m. at 315 W. Mission Ave. in the Lindaman Center conference room. Basic Life Support: Pediatric CPR for Friends and Family – For new parents, parents-to-be, grandparents and family members who want to learn basic pediatric rescue skills. Meets Monday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Institute, 711 S. Cowley. The cost is $25 per person and registration is required. Bereavement Support Groups – Hospice of Spokane offers various support groups. Spouse Grief, Wednesdays, 1:15-2:15 p.m., for those who have lost a spouse through death. General Grief, Mondays, 6-7 p.m., for those who have lost anyone through death. Life After Loss group, call for information and registration. Bible Study on Healing – Word of Faith Christian Center, 4001 N. Cook, has a Wednesday evening Bible Study at 7 p.m. on Healing. The current topic is: “Biblical Healing: Our Covenant Right.” Call 891-5253 for additional information.

Breast and Cervical Health Program – provides eligible women with free health exams, mammograms and education concerning health-care needs, sponsored by Spokane Regional Health District. Call 324-1498.

Cardiac Health Risk Assessment – Heart to Heart, presented by the Sacred Heart Women’s Health Center and the hospital’s cardiac services allows you to find out if you are at risk for cardiovascular disease, Monday-Friday from 7 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The cost of the screening, which includes a comprehensive cardiac and general health risk assessment, a panel of screening tests, consultation with a nurse specialist, free educational materials and a referral for a follow up with a specialist if needed, is $60.
