Gary and Lorene Christensen celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house July 31 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Spokane Valley.

Hosts for the event were their children and spouses.

Their children are: Debbie Christensen, Otis Orchards; Reed Christensen, Hillsboro, Ore.; Elaine Carson, Kaisersla, Germany; Jill Christensen, Sudbury, Mass.; Brett Christensen, Southlake, Texas; Minh Pham, Kennewick; and the late Gates Christensen.

The couple were married June 13, 1954, in Opportunity. They have 21 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
