Gordon and Vonna Vails celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception at the Masonic Temple July 31.

Hosts for the event were their children: Clayton Vails, Vernita Scheel and Monica Hegge, all of Spokane; and Shauna Kamenz, Lacey, Wash.

The couple were married July 31, 1954, in Coeur d’Alene. They have five grandchildren.
