John and Lorene Nelson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 7 at the home of their daughter, Jennifer Nelson, Spokane.

Other hosts for the event were their son and daughter-in-law, John Nelson Jr. and Sally Nelson, Spokane.

The couple were married Aug. 7, 1954, in Coeur d’Alene. They have four grandchildren.
