‘CSI’ just for grown-up viewing tonight
A couple of shows set in Las Vegas top your viewing choices tonight.
First, at 9, grown-ups only should dial in “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” on CBS. I know I’ve touted this episode before, but if you haven’t seen it, please catch this second repeat of the instant-classic “Fur and Loathing.” Jerry Stahl (“Permanent Midnight,” “I, Fatty”) wrote it, and it’s twisted, twisted, twisted. A bizarre car crash leads to the discovery of a dead guy in a raccoon suit, and it gets way stranger from there. Watch the faces of Grissom and Catherine when they discover the Vegas convention of — no, I can’t spoil it. But you should know that Stahl also wrote for “Alf.”
Then, on Bravo at 9, live from the Palms in Vegas, it’s a championship episode of “Celebrity Poker Showdown,” 8:30. Rock guitarist Dave Navarro, NASCAR ace Jeff Gordon and Hollywood’s David Cross, Steve Harris and Seth Meyers play for a $250,000 prize pool. Which goes to charity, of course. Dave Foley hosts, with expert commentary from Phil Gordon.
