Fire destroys combine on tribal land

A grass fire destroyed a combine and burned between 10 and 30 acres on Saturday at Conkling Park at Couer d’Alene Lake.

The fire was on Couer d’Alene Tribal land, the Coeur d’Alene Interagency Dispatch Center reported.

The center received a call at 4:01 p.m about a grass fire.

The fire was contained within 43 minutes, the agency reported.

The combine was destroyed, authorities reported.
