Yhr Rev. Rinban Doei Fujii of the Seattle Betsuin Temple will host a lecture today at the Spokane Buddhist Temple, 927 S. Perry St.

The lecture, titled “Why Jodo Shinshu?,” will give information about that form of Buddhism and will discuss what the temple has to offer.

The discussion begins at 7 p.m. A $5 donation is requested.

Spokane Christian Singles

Spokane Christian Singles will offer a speed-dating event next Saturday.

The event is open to singles in their 20s, 30s and 40s and will be at the Main Valley Library, 12004 E. Main Ave. Cost is $10. Reservations are required; call 226-7674.
